March 18th - SOUTHERN SOFTIES SPRING WARM UP SUNDAY MARCH
April 4th & 5th - 'THE TOUR OF WALES WEEKEND 2009'. - This is it, our first big weekend away for 2009. This is the trip where new friendships are made and plans will be hatched for 2009. As always, we'll meet up at the Little Chef (SY13 1JZ) on the Whitchurch Bypass, where the A495 turns off for Ellesmere, no later than 8.45am for a 9am departure, fuel up as you arrive............more info

May 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th - 'THE SCOTTISH HIGHLAND TOUR 2009'. - The plan is to meet up as usual North of Penrith at 08:45 prompt on Saturday morning. Away 9.00am from the only services on the A74(North bound) north of Carlisle. If you get as far as the M74 at Gretna you've gone too far. If the A74 services are shut due to the road works (They are now apparently open as a Petrol Station {Shell I think} and a Costa Coffee) we will regroup at the Gretna Green services just before J21 on the M74 (ring me if you want suggestions for Friday night digs on 07768 405222). From the meeting point we'll take a spectacular route all the way up to arrive at Applecross around 5pm. Here we will spend the next two nights giving us the opportunity to explore the North of Scotland, a trip to Skye, Cape Wrath, or Loch Ness, all within day-trip distance. We have already got permission to have a fire and party on the beech so whichever of the two nights has the best forecast will become the now annual BTBC Beech Party (Very special). After another great night and a wee drink we'll rise Monday morning to head down the West Coast via a spectacular route to our last Hotel overlooking the shores of Loch Fyne.Tuesday Morning after Breakfast we take in some stunning passes before Crossing over the Clyde and heading down through the Scottish Borders before splitting for home. This is a truly spectacular trip well worth the effort. It's always over booked and can only take a limited number due to the accommodation used. If you've done it before you know to be quick. If you’ve not done it before you should make an effort to be quicker still and secure your place on this fantastic tour. Most of the roads we use North of Glasgow are grin factor 9+..........more info
