This photo (31,458 bytes), taken on 13th July 2003, shows the peaceful River Devon where it flows close to the Queen's Sconce.
These two photos (31,348 and 24,937 bytes respectively), taken on 13th July 2003, show the very different views of this river when looking first upstream and then downstream from Hawton Bridge, just outside (and upstream from) Newark.
Here we see Newark's second marina, on the River Devon immediately above its confluence with the arm of the River Trent which flows through Newark. This view (20,465 bytes, taken on 13th July 2003) is from Devon Bridge (where the river is crossed by the main road to Leicester and Nottingham) on the eastern outskirts of the town, looking downstream towards the Trent.
